Qtstalker is a Open Source software package for charting and technical analysis of stock and commodity markets. Its homepage is at http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtstalker. I am the maintainer of the Qtstalker Debian packages.
Qtstalker offers a number of plugins for retrieving data from online sources. It also used to have a plugin to download quotes from a MySQL database. However, when MySQL got into a love-in with Microsoft, Qtstalker's developer (Steve Stratos) decided to drop support for that plugin and removed it from the source distribution.
I understand and respect Steve's decision but have decided to take over the development of the MySQL plugin for a very pragmatic reason: I use it myself! (Talking about itches to scratch ...)
So here it is: qtstalker-plugin-mysql-0.36.0.tar.gz. Unpack it in a directory of your choosing and read the INSTALL file. This version was tested against Qtstalker version 0.36, but will likely compile against later versions as well.
